Housing Task Force

The Housing Task Force is a dedicated group of individuals committed to addressing the housing needs of people with disabilities in an affordable and accessible manner. This task force has been established to identify and implement strategies that promote inclusive housing options, remove barriers, and enhance the overall living conditions for individuals with disabilities.

The task force convenes on a monthly basis, conducting meetings on the second Monday of each month. These gatherings serve as a platform for members to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and develop innovative solutions that aim to improve the availability and affordability of housing options for people with disabilities.

The link to the Zoom meetings can be found on our Community Events Calendar on our website.

Affordable, Accessible, Appropriately Supportive Housing

The Many Paths to Home: People with disabilities deserve to live with dignity. A community-based life should be the default expectation for all young adults. Everyone should also be able to live where they feel safe, and they are safe. There are many living situations that can be appropriate; each individual is unique. With the appropriate supports in place, there are many paths to home. But for many families, adults with disabilities live at home well into adulthood. There is a crisis in affordable housing in the state of New Hampshire. But there is a deeper crisis, concentrated in the developmental disability community.
