ABLE NH Membership Options
ABLE NH is a grassroots, membership-based organization. Not only do we rely on support from the community to sustain our advocacy work, but we also make decisions about the direction of our work based on input and votes from our membership. All of the advocacy issues we have worked on were first brought to us by concerned Granite Staters with disabilities and their loved ones.
Membership allows you to have your voice heard through the work of ABLE NH and a seat at the table when the work is being done. It also connects you to the wonderful community of advocates working together on ABLE NH task forces, committees, and projects to create change. With any questions about membership, please reach out to us at info@ablenh.org.
Individual or Family Membership- Suggested $150 annually or $12.50 per month
For people with disabilities, family members, and allies who would like to support our advocacy work throughout the year. Members will have regular opportunities to provide input on the direction of ABLE NH’s work and will receive 50% off the cost of tickets to ABLE NH events. Members can access trainings throughout the year on topics like community organizing, legislative advocacy, ableism, and accessibility.
In-Kind Membership- $0
Finances shouldn’t be a barrier to membership! In-Kind Membership comes with the same benefits as the Individual or Family Membership, but with alternative options for contributing to our work. The cost of an In-Kind Membership is through an agreement of service, talent or skill that matches the individual’s needs and will be decided upon between the advocate and ABLE NH. Options for in-kind contributions include but are not limited to: joining a task force or committee, joining a chapter, engaging in legislative advocacy, volunteering at an event, donating a skill, or working on a special project.
Corporate Membership – $1500
For businesses in New Hampshire or beyond who want to advance diversity, equity and inclusion for people with disabilities both within their business and in the greater community. A Business Member will work with ABLE to access one three-hour training yearly, or three lunch and learns on a subject matter decided upon between our two organizations.
For an extra $1500, your organization will be considered a sponsor of all our events throughout the year: the Disability Justice Parade, Soaring to the Stars and a third membership appreciation event.
Nonprofit or Municipality Membership – $1000
For fellow nonprofits and municipal organizations like libraries, police departments, or city departments that would like to partner with us and recognize the importance of equity for people with disabilities. Nonprofit and Municipal Members will work with ABLE NH to access one two-hour training yearly for staff/clients/members on a subject matter decided upon between our two organizations that fits both of our missions and current needs.
For an extra $1500, your organization will be considered a sponsor of all of our events throughout the year: the disability justice parade, soaring to the stars, and our membership appreciation event.
