Louis Esposito
Hello
Louis Esposito
Executive Director
About Me

Dr. Louis Esposito is from New Hampshire and comes from a family with a mix of neurological differences, which shapes his perspective and lived experience. For more than ten years, he has worked with disabled people in special education, supported employment, and community life—always focusing on dignity, belonging, and self-determination instead of charity or compliance.

He earned degrees in History and Education from Southern New Hampshire University and went on to complete his Doctorate in Educational Leadership there. His dissertation, “Identity Positioning through the High School Transition Process for Students with Autism Enrolled in Higher Education,” looks at how schools and systems treat students with disabilities and how inclusive practices can change those experiences. His research shows that building a positive identity is not extra—it is a basic right that depends on schools and communities creating access, choice, and equity.

Through his work as both a scholar and an advocate, Dr. Esposito pushes back against ableism and works to change policies so that people with disabilities are seen as leaders in shaping their own futures. His work reflects the values of disability studies: rejecting deficit models, recognizing disability as part of society and culture, and fighting for schools and communities that support inclusion, identity, and justice.
